Milky Oats with Dates
Ingredients
1 cup Captain Oats
2 cups water
2 cups fresh milk
1 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp dates (remove seeds and cut into dices)
2 tbsp almond flakes (toasted)
2 tbsp honey
Method
Boil water in a pot.
Add captain oats, fresh milk and sugar. Stir well and simmer for 3 min.
Add date dices, almond flakes and honey as toppings.
Serve while warm.
Oats Pancake
Ingredients
1 cup Captain Oats
1/4 all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar, or brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup non-fat milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 large egg
cooking spray
Toppings
Strawberry
Blueberry
Whipped Cream
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, Captain Oats Quick Cook Oatmeal, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon and salt.
Combine milk, butter, and egg in a small bowl. Add to flour mixture, stir until moist.
Pour batter by ¼ cupful onto a lightly greased hot griddle. Turn when bubbles form on top of pancake; cook until second side is golden brown.
Captain Oats Wholemeal Bread
Ingredients
1 cup Captain Oats
300g high protein flour
200g wholemeal flour
40g brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoon yeast (mix with water)
300ml water
40g shortening (Vegetable fat)
1 egg
Method
Combine oats, high protein flour, wholemeal flour, brown sugar, salt, yeast, and water then add shortening vegetable fat, and egg. Mix till the dough is smooth and elastic to touch.
Take out from dough mixer, put in a tray, rest about 30 to 40 minutes.
Divide the dough into 60g each, mould with your own desire.
Bake time 25 to 30 minutes, 190C temperature up and down.
